Top 10: Historical Roast
Geek Score: 2.98/5.00
“Historical Roasts” is a delightful blend of laughter and education. The stand-up comedy series successfully entertains while shedding light on important historical figures and events. The brilliant writing, talented comedians, and high production values make it a must-watch for those seeking an enjoyable and enlightening comedy experience.
Top 9: How to Make it in America?
Geek Score: 3.23/5.00
“How to Make It in America” is a fairy tale story, no doubt. The theme of dreaming big and watching a character become successful is tiring. But the series is more than just a success story. It is, in retrospect, a sort of documentary on the inner workings of the fashion scene. It shows how, if you’re lucky and have connections, you can make it in America.
Top 8: Schritt’s Creek
Geek Score: 3.23/5.00
Like the Rose Family, the audience will learn to love the show as the seasons progress. This series is so addicting to watch that it deserves to be on my list of watch-over-and-over-again TV shows alongside the likes of “Community,” “Silicon Valley,” and “How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast).”
Top 7: The Chair
Geek Score: 3.25/5.00
I feel like what Professor Bill Dobson (played by Jay Duplass) says in the final episode sums up the experience of watching “The Chair”: it’s like having an “ongoing conversation.” You learn something new, even if you’re already aware of it, and in the process, you feel transformed by it.
Top 6: Superstore
Geek Score: 3.26/5.00

“Shocked” is the word I would use to describe my experience viewing the first episode of this series. It’s what makes this show fun to watch. It’s the exaggeration of everyday occurrences in a supermarket with a touch of reality. There’s also some in-depth commentary on the industry written all over the script.
Top 5: Ahsoka
Geek Score: 3.75/5.00
“Ahsoka” brought to life two of the well-known animated shows in the franchise, tapping into its deep cache of stories. Familiar characters in live-action, magic, and myth come to life, and the endless features of all things Star Wars (from starships, planets, and symbols, to droids!). All of it makes for a successful season for the new Star Wars series.
Top 4: Young Sheldon
Geek Score: 3.87/5.00
“Young Sheldon” is a charming and well-executed prequel that provides insight into the formative years of one of television’s most beloved characters. With its blend of humor, heart, and a standout performance by Iain Armitage, the show successfully carves out its own identity while paying homage to the legacy of “The Big Bang Theory.”
Top 3: Fellow Travelers
Geek Score: 4.04/5.00
“Fellow Travelers” is a must-watch for fans of espionage dramas and political thrillers. With its compelling narrative, strong performances, and attention to detail, it stands out as a standout addition to the television landscape. Whether you’re a history buff or simply love a gripping story of intrigue and betrayal, “Fellow Travelers” delivers on all fronts.
Top 2: All the Light We Cannot See
Geek Score: 4.11/5.00
“All the Light We Cannot See” is not just a war story; it’s a testament to the triumph of the human spirit in the face of adversity. In an era saturated with content, this adaptation stands out as a shining example of how literature can be translated into a visual medium with grace, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to storytelling excellence.
Top 1: The Crown
Geek Score: 4.12/5.00
“The Crown” Season 6 is a majestic and emotionally resonant conclusion to the series, capping off a reign that has left an indelible mark on the landscape of modern television. It’s a triumph of storytelling, acting, and production, leaving viewers both satisfied and nostalgic for the captivating journey through the corridors of power and the complexities of human nature.
